Conbadge - Kanic

I recently attended an anthropomorphics convention in Michigan, and procured a table in their dealer's room. This was my first conbadge commission at the event, and believe it or not, the first German Shepherd Dog I've ever drawn. This was one of those pieces I had a hard time giving back; it was tremendous fun to do, and... well.. it stretched my capabilities a bit, and I liked the results!

I successfully used salt for the first time on the background (usually I get the moisture levels all wrong and it doesn't work right), and for once I didn't 'cheat' and use marker on tongue or nose. Overall, incredibly happy, and I believe he was too!

(It's always a delight seeing your artwork in the wild, in my case, the fursuit parade. )
